ecoENERGY for Renewable Heat

Incentives are offered to the industrial/commercial/institutional sector to install active energy-efficient solar air and water heating systems. This program covers 25% of the purchase and installation costs for commercial, industrial and institutional solar space and water heating systems, up to a maximum of $80,000. Learn More»

ecoENERGY for Renewable Power

This program provides a 1 cent/kWh incentive for up to 10 years to eligible low impact, renewable electricity projects with an installed rated capacity of over 1MW, constructed to March 31, 2011. Businesses, municipalities, institutions and organizations are eligible. Learn More»

ecoENERGY RETROFIT

This program provides financial incentives to small and medium-sized businesses, industry and public institutions to help them invest in energy and pollution-saving upgrades. The program offers a financial incentive of $10 per GJ of energy saved up to a maximum of $50,000 or 25% of eligible project costs. The first call for project proposals is from June 15 to September 15, 2007, applicants will be notified by November 15, 2007 if the project has received approval. Learn More»

Class 43.1 Accelerated Capital Cost Allowance and Canadian Renewable and Conservation Expenses

The Federal government promotes energy efficiency and the use of low-impact renewable energy through the income tax system. Class 43.1 ACCA allows taxpayers an accelerated write-off at up to 30% per year for equipment generating electricity from solar electric systems. Learn More»

Ontario's Standard Offer Program

This program offers 42 cents/kWh for grid-tied solar PV electricity with a capital cost of $10,000 to $14,000 per kW installed. Learn More»

The OPA New Construction Program

The Ontario Power Authority (OPA) New Construction program is an integrated program of design assistance and financial incentives to motivate builders and developers to incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient features in new construction and major renovation projects. Financial incentives are available for both new commercial building construction projects and commercial building major renovation projects. Two streams of funding are available; prescriptive conservation (equipment related) and custom conservation (overall building related). Learn More»

Ontario Retail Sales Tax Rebates - Solar Wind and Geothermal Energy Systems Rebate Program

The renewable Energy System Rebate returns the Retail Sales Tax (RST) paid on qualifying renewable energy systems to builders, who install the energy systems into residential premises, including multi-residential premises, or who expand or upgrade an existing renewable energy system before January 1, 2010. This rebate applies only to residential premises used or intended to be used for residential purposes, including multi-residential buildings such as apartment buildings or townhouses.

New Internal Energy Generation Program for Small Businesses in Northern Ontario

The Northern Ontario Heritage Fund has a support program for on-site energy generation for small businesses in Northern Ontario as part of their Small Business Energy conservation Program. The program runs through to December 31, 2007 and covers a wide variety of applications including PV for northern tourist camps, solar hot water for restaurants, solar air heating for small manufacturing plants and solar pool heating for hotels. Utility Programs

Enbridge Gas Programs - Industrial HVAC Audits and Incentives

Enbridge Gas Distribution will continue to provide half of the cost of an HVAC Audit up to $5,000. Natural Gas energy saving measures that are installed as a result of this audit will be eligible for a 5 cents per cubic metre incentive.

Enbridge Gas Programs - Design Assistance Program (DAP)

Enbridge's DAP program offers a fixed incentive of $4,000 for design activities aimed at improving a building's energy and environmental performance - whether it is a new building, an addition to an existing building or a major renovation.

Enbridge Gas Programs - New Building Construction Program (NBCP)

Enbridge's NBCP program helps offset the costs of designing more energy efficient buildings for commercial, institutional or multi-family use. The program pays $0.075/m3 of projected annual natural gas savings to a maximum of $15,000. In addition to the NBCP Incentive, you can apply through Enbridge for the Toronto Hydro Incentive: This incentive offers electrical savings of $25 per peak KW of power demand reduction.
